I'd love to visit your school or classroom! Most of my presentations and workshops are best suited for 3rd to 8th grades, but they can be adapted for other age groups. To book a visit, please contact me.
Here are a few presentation options I offer:
A Writer's Journey
A presentation about becoming an author, focusing on the importance of reading, practicing writing, doing research, and revising work in order to create books. This presentation can be adapted for groups of any size or grade level, but it's best suited for 3rd-8th grades.
Building A Story
A workshop about how students can brainstorm ideas and turn those ideas into stories. We will discuss the building blocks of a story--including goals, conflict, and stakes--and construct a story together using students' ideas. This presentation is best suited for classroom-size groups in 5th to 7th grades.
Discovering Your Character
A writing workshop about finding inspiration for characters, developing them, and creating characterization throughout a story to bring them to life. This presentation is best suited for classroom-size groups in 3rd to 8th grades.

Author Visit Details:
- Individual presentations, half-day visits, and full-day visits are all available. I can always customize a program to suit your needs.
- I can help coordinate discounted book orders, and I'm more than happy to sign books during the school day. I can also provide flyers for book orders if needed.
- Technology requests: For in-person visits, a Smartboard or projector and screen are helpful for my presentations. For groups larger than 1-2 classrooms, a microphone is appreciated. For virtual visits, my available platforms are Zoom, Skype, or Google Meets.
